Summary: Meme Workshop does not require an account, does not track you, and does not sell your data. We only process what's needed to generate your memes.

Meme Workshop ("we", "our", or "the App") is an AI-powered meme and sticker generator for iOS. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

By using Meme Workshop, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or any personal identity information.
We do not require account registration or login.
We do not use advertising SDKs or tracking frameworks.
We do not use Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) because we do not track users across apps.
We do not collect location, contacts, or browsing history.

3. Third-Party AI Services

To generate images and translate prompts, your text input may be sent to the following third-party AI services:

Pollinations.ai — Image generation (default, no API key required)
Google Gemini — Image generation (when configured)
SiliconFlow — Image generation (when configured)

When using our proxy service (the default for users without their own API keys), your prompt is routed through our Cloudflare Worker, which forwards it to the AI provider. We do not log or store your prompts on the proxy.

Important: Each third-party AI service has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them. We only send the minimum data needed (your text prompt) and do not share any personal information with these services.

4. How We Use Your Information

Image Generation: Your text prompts are processed by AI services to create meme images.
Abuse Prevention: The anonymous Device ID is used to enforce fair usage limits on the free proxy service.
Purchase Verification: Subscription and credit status is verified locally using Apple StoreKit.

5. Data Storage and Security

Generated images are stored only on your device in the app's local storage.
App settings and usage data (daily generation counts, preferences) are stored locally on your device using iOS UserDefaults and Keychain.
All network communication uses HTTPS encryption.
We do not operate any database that stores user data.

6. Data Retention

Since we do not store your data on our servers, there is no server-side data to retain or delete. All user data resides on your device and can be removed by deleting the app.

7. Children's Privacy

Meme Workshop includes content moderation to filter inappropriate prompts. The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to address the issue.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

Access & Deletion: Since all data is on-device, you can delete it by removing the app or clearing app data.
Opt-out: You can use the App without the proxy service by configuring your own API keys in Settings.
GDPR (EU users): We act as a data processor only when forwarding prompts to AI services. No personal data is stored. You may contact us to exercise any GDPR rights.
CCPA (California users): We do not sell personal information. You may contact us for any CCPA-related requests.

9. Content Moderation

Meme Workshop includes built-in content moderation to prevent the generation of inappropriate content, including but not limited to violence, hate speech, sexually explicit material, and content harmful to minors. Prompts that violate our content policy will be blocked before being sent to any AI service.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
